Morsi to People of Bulaq: Stability, Security and Development Top Priorities
Presidential contender Morsi shows Bulaq residents – near Cairo – that he is fully aware of all their needs and knows exactly how they feel, since he himself suffered the same problems for years.

Dr. Mohamed Morsi, candidate of the revolution in the run-off presidential election, said that the people of Egypt across the country share qualities of truth, justice and moderation, urging them all for unity, brotherhood and hard work.

During his meeting with the people in the district of Bulaq, in Giza, Tuesday, Dr. Morsi stressed that his goals are to restore truth and justice, to get rid of all vestiges of tyranny and corruption, and healing the nation from the ravages of the former regime that corrupted everything in a dark era that should never be allowed back.

Morsi further called on everyone to "do all their best effort to achieve the revolution’s ambitions fully".

He renewed his commitment to exact retribution for the pure blood of the honorable martyrs, saying: "Murdering our children has no statute of limitations. I shall endeavor to fully restore the rights of Egyptians, particularly the rights of the Martyrs".

Morsi pledged vital development of poor neighborhoods, neglected areas and villages of Egypt, as well as timely solutions for all problems of the homeland, through practical steps, on the ground, not just promises.

Moreover, he pointed that stability and security are at the top of his priorities, affirming that the rights of Egyptians are not a gift from anyone, but the rulers’ duty towards their subjects, who should also enjoy a decent, dignified life.

Morsi said that the problems of security, traffic, energy and garbage collection are citizens’ most basic rights, promising to provide all Egyptians’ basic needs in a very short time, if he wins the presidency.

Further, Dr. Morsi went on, saying: “The former regime is making desperate efforts to get back in power, seeking to control and oppress us once again. But I fully believe that the whole Egyptian people will reject any replication of the defunct regime, in defense of the principles of the revolution, in respect for the blood of the Martyrs”.

With regard to the idea of a presidential council, Morsi explained that, “Above all else, we have to respect the law the road map already agreed – which includes ongoing elections – and the Constitutional Declaration approved through referendum. In fact, now we should be worried about fraud attempts in the run-off, because all the people will rise in revolt yet again if the elections are rigged, and will not rest if their will is hijacked.

“As for the relentless media attack on me and the Muslim Brotherhood, I can only say: we sacrifice our souls and dignity for god and the homeland.”

He urged everyone to do their job as best they can, in their respective fields of work, calling on Egyptians to put aside their differences and commit to good morals and principles of honor.
